About the Author

D. L. Pitchford (she/her) is a Midwestern, neurodivergent, bisexual author who uses her writing as a form of catharsis and self-exploration. She writes a wide variety of stories, but no matter the genre, they are always visceral, emotive, and unapologetically honest.

Throughout her childhood, art and literature were encouraged in every form, and by age ten, she wrote her first fantasy story. Her love of creativity and of story only expanded as she grew. In 2013, she received her Bachelor's in English, Fine Arts, and Writing from Drury University, and she has devoted her time to fiction writing ever since. She self-published her debut literary fiction novel, If We Had No Winter, in 2017, and in 2019, she opened Straight on till Morningside, her editing business, where she helps other indie authors bring their stories to life. In early 2025, she started an AuthorTube channel to share her experiences as a writer and expand her creative community.

Pitchford lives with her husband and two sons in Springfield, Missouri, where she continues to hone her craft and work on future publications.
